WHAT YOU'RE SEEING
This dashboard streams real-time telemetry from the DragonFly's ArduPilot SITL (Software In The Loop) simulation environment. The video feed is synchronized frame-by-frame with MAVLink telemetry data using a binary search algorithm on timestamped frames, ensuring sub-second accuracy between visual and data streams.
The altitude and velocity sparklines maintain a 60-frame rolling buffer, giving you a continuous view of the vehicle's flight envelope. Flight mode transitions between AUTO and LOITER are color-coded for rapid situational awareness — cyan for autonomous navigation, amber for position hold operations.
The NFZ (No-Fly Zone) radial gauge measures the vehicle's proximity to restricted airspace boundaries. When this distance drops below the safety threshold, the repulsive vector algorithm activates, generating gradient forces that guide the aircraft back to safe airspace without human intervention. The Override Active banner marks these critical moments in the telemetry record.
TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS
SAFETY BRIEF
All flight operations depicted in this dashboard are conducted in a controlled SITL simulation environment. No physical aircraft are involved in this demonstration. The DragonFly is operated strictly in accordance with TEKNOFEST competition rules and Turkish civil aviation authority (SHGM) regulations.
The NFZ override algorithm is a safety system — it does not bypass regulations but rather assists the pilot by providing automatic collision avoidance guidance. All autonomous flight modes maintain a mandatory pilot override capability at all times. Emergency RTL (Return-to-Launch) is always available.
